As you leave Mahon airport, go straight over two roundabouts and hit the main Island road – turn left towards Ciutadella which is towards the West end of the Island.
Take this Main road, as you pass Alaior, keep going and turn off towards Es Mercadal (halfway across the Island approx 20mins from airport), and follow the signs to Fornells.
About half way between Mercadal & Fornells (approx 5km from Mercadal) you will come to a new roundabout (giant metal Matisse style sculptures in the centre), turn left – sign posted to Binimel·la / FFar de Cavalleria, after roughly 2 km you will pass a large house with palm trees on the right hand side, 100metres further along on the left you will see large white gate posts with typical Menorquin wooden gates next to a water trough (if you go over a hump back bridge you have just overshot). There is a combination lock on the gates off the road which will be provided if locked. Please leave all gates as you find them because of farm animals.
You should see the house in the distance, follow the dirt track for 1.4km all the way up to the house – can’t miss it, there is a wind turbine above it. Taxis sometimes will refuse to go off road in Menorca!
Please note, when you turn off the main Ciutadella road into Mercadal, as you hit the second roundabout you will see a “Super d’Es Mercadal” supermarket (practically on the roundabout).
